To be performed at Chapel FM Arts Centre as part of their “Writing on Air” festival on the 4th of December at 7pm

‘Stone Soup’ is a radio play devised by Chapel FM’s Ageing Creatively group, run by The Performance Ensemble. It is presented during “Writing on Air”, an annual festival of words and ideas held at Chapel FM Arts Centre and broadcast on East Leeds Community Radio. The theme for this year’s festival is ‘Recovery’.

In ‘Stone Soup’, relentless floods have forced a variety of strangers to seek refuge in a coppiced wood, where they have found a woodsman working in harmony with the land. They have with them only what they could carry as they made their escape. To survive, they must come together as a group and pool their resources and their skills. What will the future hold? Will they make it through the rain? Will they survive?
