On Saturday 3rd October The Performance Ensemble will take to Roundhay Park in Leeds, and through the use of song, music, humour, dance and storytelling they will share moments and stories celebrating our natural world.
This is a free to attend, non ticketed event that is suitable for children, familes and older adults alike.
The Performance Ensemble is the first national collective of older artists working together to make art from the experience of age. Led by Artistic Director Alan Lyddiard, the company creates meaning, beauty and joy from the seemingly ordinary.
Bloomin' in the Garden in Local Care Homes
We are inviting Leeds-based care homes to host a small-scale, high-quality theatre project designed to bring gentle, fully accessible outdoor performances directly to residents. Performances can take place in care home gardens, with indoor spaces used as a weather-friendly alternative.
Created especially for residents who may be frail and living with dementia, each performance blends humour, music, dance, storytelling, and sensory moments inspired by the natural world.
