Bob & Jenny and the Little Big Band
In March 2024, The Performance Ensemble brought their unique storytelling approach to Selby.
Kindly hosted by Selby Town Hall, locals Bob & Jenny and the Little Big Band presented an evening spent sharing stories about their musical lives across Yorkshire and beyond, soundtracked by some wonderful big band classics. Working closely with Bob, Jenny and all the musicians involved, The Performance Ensemble crafted a show that compassionately told their story, celebrating the lived experiences of some of Selby’s older generation through the music they play.
This project was commissioned by North Yorkshire County Council, and supported by public funding from ACE.
