1001 Stories

The Performance Ensemble have been gathering stories and anecdotes from older people across Leeds since 2018.

Working with a consortium of Leeds organisations, including Leeds Playhouse, Leeds 2023, Leeds Museums and Galleries and Leeds Older People’s Forum, we collected 1001 stories in April 2023 just in time for our two-week takeover at Leeds Playhouse.

Our 1001 Stories Project closed with our Arts Ageing and Activism Symposium on 9th October 2023.

Find all the stories on our dedicated project website at 1001stories.org.uk.
