Following our Takeover of Leeds Playhouse six months ago, The Performance Ensemble have been spending time in local communities, understanding where there are gaps in available activities and an interest in trying something new.
With this in mind we have four new open sessions for people aged 60 and over:
MONDAY PM ‘My Favourite Age is Now’ creative sessions with Natalie Tharraleos at the Old Workshop in Space2. These sessions are run every Monday afternoon from 2pm behind the Old Fire Station, Gipton Approach, Gipton, Leeds, LS9 6NL. Our last session will be on Monday 27th November 2023.
THURSDAY AM ‘Ageing Creatively’ sessions with performer, Margaret Bending, and guest artists at Chapel FM Arts Centre. These sessions are run Thursday mornings from 11am in Seacroft at The Old Seacroft Chapel, York Rd, Seacroft, Leeds, LS14 6JB, except Thursday 9th November when we will be rehearsing for our performance of “Full of Life” at Interplay Theatre. On Thursday 30th we will be enjoying the Writing On Air Festival rather than our usual scheduled sessions, which you can join in remotely. Our last session will be on Thursday 14th December 2023.
THURSDAY PM ‘My Favourite Age is Now’ creative sessions for women with Natalie Tharraleos at The Compton Centre Library. Based on identified local need these sessions are for women only and are run every Thursday afternoon from 12.30pm on Harehills Lane, Harehills, Leeds, LS9 7BG. On Thursday 30th we will be enjoying East Leeds’ Writing On Air Festival rather than our usual scheduled sessions, which you can join in remotely. Our last session will be on Thursday 14th December 2023.

FRIDAY PM Choir sessions with performer, Paulette Morris, at Feel Good Factor. These sessions are run every Friday from 10am at 53 Louis Street, Leeds, LS7 4BP. Our last session will be on Friday 15th December 2023.
